Multiple Regression
Example: A statistician wants to predict the income of restaurants,
using two independent variables; the number of restaurant employers and
restaurant floor area. He collected the following data. Calculate the multiple
regression with two regressors.
Data:
Income (000)

Floor area (000 sq. ft)
X1
|
No of employers
X2

Solution (through Minitab):
1. Enter the data in three
separate columns and assign columns names (i.e. Y, X1, X2)
2. Chose Stat
> Regression > Regression > Fit Regression Model

3. In Responses select Y (dependent variable)
4. In Continuous Predictor select X1, X2
(independent variables)

5. Click OK button and see the result.
