Example: Calculate correlation coefficient between X and Y from the following sample data

Solution (through Minitab 17):

1. Choose Stat>Basic Statistics>Correlation





2. Double click on variable name to enter the variable in box.




3. Select Pearson Correlation from the selection bar.

4. Click on OK button and see the result in session window.


Result:


Conclussion:

Hance there is a moderate correlation between variables X and Y.
